In order to make commuting more comfortable at economical rates, Shuttl has also launched the ‘Anywhere to Anywhere in Delhi - NCR at Rs 49" offer for its commuters this Dussehra. Commuters can now avail Shuttl bus services across the Delhi NCR region for just Rs. 49, irrespective of the distance or route they choose to travel and overcome the evil of congestion and traffic jams this festive season. The commuter has to buy the Shuttl Pass under which a he can avail the first 2 rides for Rs. 49 and subsequently extend the pass by paying Rs. 980 for 20 rides which can be availed across a period of 40 days. With this initiative, commuting by Shuttl is now more economical than other modes of transportation be it car-pools or auto rickshaws.

Providing an affordable solution towards building a greener environment, the 20 rides pack is aimed at easing the traffic in Delhi NCR during the festive season. Once the pass is exhausted, commuters can renew the pass at the same price. The passes can be bought till 10th October, 2016, with no limit to the number of recharges during this period.

Speaking at the event on Shuttl’s future plans, Mr. Amit Singh, Co-Founder of Shuttl said, “At Shuttl, we believe in solving problems related to daily commute, by leveraging state of art technologies. We are proud to bring mobility that is reliable and environment friendly. We plan to introduce new routes in Noida to help people commute long distances at affordable prices.’’

He further added, “We are proud to bring smart mobility that is affordable and reliable to our customers in Delhi-NCR at such fares. With these economical packs, we are facilitating our customers to get a lot more within the same budget. The move will help commuters reduce their carbon footprint by successfully leveraging technology.”

Near Audio Communication Protocol (NAP)
Shuttl recently launched Near Audio Communication Protocol (NAP), a sound based boarding technology to its commuters for the first time in India. NAP uses sound to transfer the boarding details locally between two systems – the driver and the rider apps. The rider’s boarding details are sent to the bus driver’s smartphone through sound signals which is enabled by pressing the button on the app. A major advantage with NAP is that the commuter doesn’t need to have an active internet connection at the time of boarding. The rides are normally pre-booked and a boarding pass generated before the ride is taken. Once the commuter has an active boarding pass, he can conveniently use the NAP technology to board the bus even if there is a network issue at the time of boarding as the NAP feature works seamlessly.

This mechanism enables quick retrieval of data much faster than the traditional methods of QR code scanning or physically entering the boarding pass number. Boarding detection helps in improving the overall commuter experience, by enabling the company to identify riders on several routes.

CSR Initiative: School Safety Programme
Reiterating its commitment towards giving back to the society, Shuttl under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) organises Disaster Management / School Safety Programme for students in association with Disaster Management Cell (DMC) every month. The programme is aimed at apprising school children on disaster management measures and prepare them with necessary precautions to be taken during any natural calamity. This year Shuttl has conducted nine Disaster Management programs in Noida since the month of April. With these programs Shuttl has been able to educate and train more than 8000 school children and staff on disaster management measures.
