Hirdae and Saumil in class 8th and 9th category from
 Delhi Public school and Yajur and Chaitya  in  class 6th  and 7th category from Bhavan Vidyalaya school won the prestigious Net Champs title

Hrishita  and Pawanjot  in class 8th and 9th category from Jiya Lal Mittal DAV Public School and Prabjeet  and Balraj  in  class 6th  and 7th category from Holy Heart Presidency school stood runners up

Chandigarh, September 09, 2016: ‘Connect Net Champs’- an initiative of Connect Broadband, and an ideal platform to educate children on internet etiquettes and provide technical know-how to children on internet training, conducted it’s Grand Finale in Mohali at St. Soldiers International School. Present at the event were Chandigarh’s leading educational institutions, Heads, Parents, Students and Officials from Connect Broadband who were kept enthralled by the quizmaster, Mr. Pallab Bose.

Given outstanding pan Punjab participation for whole season and the honour of the prestigious award at an International operator’s conference titled, Species 2016 held at Lisbon, Portugal as the best strategic campaign, ‘Connect Net Champs Program’ became a huge success.
Connect Broadband powered by Hindustan Times and F – Secure kick started Connect Net Champs in September last year. Net Champs is open to school students from classes 6 to 9, includes an extensive one year outreach (September 2015 – August 2016) across six zones  (Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Patiala and Bathinda). The Program entered the school classrooms to impart training on internet etiquette, making it an ideal platform to provide technical know-how to children, parents and teachers. Connect Net Champs conducted a series of seminars in more than hundred Schools in Punjab followed by a thrilling Quiz contest for students. Four candidates from each School were shortlisted for the next round. More than fifty thousand students attended the seminars.

Following an intense outreach programme via seminar followed by quiz competition at a school level, Net Champs covered over 50000 students from more than 100 educational institutions across Tricity and Punjab. At the Grand Finale, over 24 students from 12 schools selected for finals competed for the prestigious ‘Net Champs’ title at St. Soldiers International School, Phase -7, Mohali which was packed with an excited audience of over 500 students, teachers and parents.

The winning students of Grand Finale will be awarded with exciting prizes like Laptops and Kindle E-readers.

CONNECT Net Champs is a program to engage children with the purpose of educating them on the nuances of the World Wide Web and how to utilize their potential with information available just a click away.  The program is structured in three very interesting tiers; First round is the school round, followed by the second round which is the city round and the third round is the Grand finale.
