The event saw the presence of almost 40 families from Nepal. The rendezvous had an ambience full of nostalgia with alumnae sharing their experiences of  'how it was back then' and also how their beloved school helped them become who they are today, many of whom have become entrepreneurs, doctors, authors and designers.

“It is lovely to see that our school is taking the effort to reach out to us in our cities. It is difficult to travel to Mussoorie for such meet ups but we will surely get together at the Founders Day next year” said Dr Aquila Shrestha of 1992 batch.

This meet up gave them an opportunity to learn about the various developments that have taken place at the school since the time they graduated, some of them having left MIS way back in 1990.

Bidushi Shah, Prastuti Tiwari & Ayushi Tibrewal, members of MIS Student Council informed them of how the dorms the girls used to stay in have been upgraded and the dining hall has been completely revamped. They were very proud to know that MIS girls have been excelling in academics with the topper of the region in the recently declared ICSE results being from MIS. Apart from that, MIS has made some well known tie ups with the likes of Mahesh Bhupathi Tennis Academy (MBTA) for its budding tennis stars as well as with Round Square for its international student exchange program.MIS girls also talked about the recently launched Health-Set-Go program for students in the quest to make the children healthier and happier.

“We are very proud of our girls from Nepal who are doing wonderful things all over the World. Our school has shared very warm ties with Nepal over the years and such meet ups are an ideal way of keeping in touch and rekindling the bonds forged with our MIStars during school days’ said Mrs Amisha Beri, Director Communications, MIS.

With promises made to connect more often with fellow MIStars, the reunion ended with alumnae getting their photos clicked followed by a cake cutting ceremony celebrating the feeling of getting together after a long time.
