Sunali Rathod a well-known singer celebrated her Valentine’s Day along with specially-abled adults of Om Creations Trust
Mumbai, 14 February 2017: Sunali Rathod, a well-known singer celebrated her Valentine’s Day along with specially-abled adults of Om Creations Trust. She expressed her love for the specially-abled ones by joyfully singing along with them and sharing presents.
The event commenced as specially-abled adults from Om Creations greeted her by singing a welcome song. A cake cutting ceremony was carried out and delicious snacks made by the specially-abled were relished.
Sunali Rathord, singer, said, "These specially-abled adults made my day memorable today. They are immensely talented, energetic and full of love. To celebrate Valentine’s Day with me, they also made a special cake and performed on couple of songs while keenly taking few quick singing tips.”
Dr. Radhike Khanna, Founder and Trustee, Om Creations Trust, said, "We were extremely glad to host Mrs. Sunali Rathod at Om Creations. It was a special moment for all the specially-abled adults working here to sing along with Mrs. Rathod. About Om Creations Trust:
Om Creations gives developmentally challenged women training in arts, crafts and culinary skills. Established in 1991, the organisation runs three centers in Mumbai that aim to economically empower women. It gives them the space and tools they need to create more than 175 products, including painting, gift bags, wallets, scarves and food, such as bread and other baked goods, chocolates and made-to-order meals.
Om Creations staff members teach the women painting and sculpting techniques, baking, cooking, gift wrapping skills amongst others. It gives the women a stipend for the products they make, thus helping them to support themselves and their families. Various corporates and individuals are part of their elite list of clients.
