THIS VALENTINE’S, THINK DIFFERENT

Dehradun: This valentine’s day, The Pacific Mall in Dehradun witnessed a different perspective altogether when a PETA member dressed in a red gown and angel wings distributed red roses to couples and other passers – by. She was informing all passers – by as to how non vegetarian food has adverse affects on human body and how animals also feel pain and should be treated well. They also emphasised on how animal conservation is a form of love.

On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, The Pacific Mall had prepared a cupid garden in the centre of the mall which was decorated with various paraphernalia and artefacts which was a hit amongst the couples trying to hit a pose for the camera. There was a workshop organised for Salsa dance as well which marked the beginning of the celebrations at the mall. Couples, both young and old took very keen interest in the workshop as they indulged in learning the basics of the dance form. In the process, all participants who performed out of the ordinary with their partners and proposed them in a unique way were awarded with gifts from the Pacific Group.

On the successful completion of events, Abhishek Bansal, executive director, Pacific Group said, “To mark this special day, we had planned two set of events for day and evening. A team from PETA was invited during day time to spread awareness towards animal conservation and treat them with equal love and compassion as to fellow humans. Continuing ahead, all the events in the evening were planned for couples to enjoy and celebrate their togetherness. It gives you a proud feeling when you are the reason of someone’s happiness.”
