Swiss Tourism makes Ranveer Singh its brand ambassador


Bangalore, 4th November 2016: Ranveer Singh is in Love ….. with Switzerland! The heartthrob of millions of Indians, who recently returned from his maiden trip to the beautiful country is completely enamoured with it and has been now named the first Indian ambassador for Switzerland Tourism.

Ranveer Singh who enjoyed himself indulging in a huge variety of different experiences on his recent trip to Switzerland, will now be in charge of promoting Switzerland Tourism’s campaign for 2017 - Nature wants you back! Known for his effervescence and adventurous nature, Ranveer Singh tried an array of activities in Switzerland to get his adrenaline pumping. From wakeboarding on Lake Zurich, ski jumps at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne, tobogganing on Mt.Pilatus, paragliding and skydiving in Interlaken, he tried them all. But adventure was just one of his holiday thrills. Ranveer, also a great chocolate lover had a go at chocolate making at the Funky Chocolate Club in Interlaken. Being a complete football fanatic, Ranveer Singh visited  the FIFA World Football Museum in Zurich and of course  also paid tribute to Mr. Yash Chopra  by  visiting the Yash Chopra Suite at Victoria Jungfrau and the Yash Chopra Statue in the Kursaal Garden.

In short, Ranveer Singh had a ball on his first trip  to Switzerland and now he can’t wait to endorse its virtues to everybody.


Ranveer Singh said, “Switzerland has always been known for its serenity and its natural beauty but what surprised me were the adventures in store for me when I visited. Going to Switzerland has always been my dream. After all it’s a country made famous by Yashji! And now I look forward to my next trip as official brand ambassador in winter. I’ve been told it’s like visiting an entirely different country.”

Running from September 26 to 29, 2016 at the Palexpo convention center in Geneva, Switzerland, this year’s Sibos will gather some 8,000 business leaders, decision makers and specialists and nearly 200 exhibitors to build networks, share business strategies and consolidate expertise to shape the future of the financial industry. EastNets will occupy Stand F91 of the venue where it will demonstrate its leading anti-money laundering (AML) solutions and share key partnerships it has made with Dow Jones, and the European Business Reliance Centre EBRC.

EastNets and Dow Jones recently agreed to combine the strengths of the former’s en.SafeWatch Filtering – a watch list and US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) filtering solution used by financial institutions and corporates worldwide – and the latter’s Dow Jones Risk and Compliance databases.  EastNets clients can now choose from targeted categories from the Dow Jones lists for loading into the en.SafeWatch Filtering system. This ensures that the system scans only against the targeted entities, thus boosting efficiency while minimizing false positives.

EastNets and the European Business Reliance Centre (EBRC) have entered into a partnership in order to launch a new Payments service. The Payments service is established through a Financial Messaging Hub (FMH), which is built around Eastnets’ Payments, Compliance and Cloud solutions, together with EBRC’s trusted Luxembourg Data Center providing Cloud and Managed Services. The service offers automation of payments’ workflows, integrated AML and Reporting services, with infrastructures connected to the SWIFT network. FMH is operated and managed by EBRC, with SWIFT connectivity assured via the EastNets SWIFT Certified Service Bureau as a trusted service in the Cloud.

Breastfeeding: The Child’s First Foundation to a Healthier Tomorrow

New Delhi, 3rd August 2016: Medela India, a Switzerland based global manufacturer of breast pumps and nursing accessories, has launched a campaign to highlight ‘Breastfeeding as the Foundation for a Child’s Better and Healthier Tomorrow’. The campaign video brings to the forefront, the necessity and significance of breastfeeding for laying a strong and healthy foundation for the child during the initial years of his life.

The video also focusses on the beautiful relationship between a mother and a daughter and the former’s role in motivating and supporting the latter to breastfeed her own baby.

According to a survey conducted by Medela India, 41.49% of new mothers sought advice from their own mothers on breastfeeding. For all challenges related to breastfeeding or any doubts, a new mother’s own mother was their first point of contact to understand the essentiality of breastfeeding.

Recognizing this remarkable mother-daughter relationship, the narrative begins with a working mother who like most of her contemporaries faces a challenge in balancing work and motherhood and hence formula feeds her infant as opposed to breastfeeding.

The video progresses with the infant’s grandmother narrating a story to her daughter to make her understand the significance of building a strong foundation, especially when it comes to her own child. She further stresses that just like everything else in life requires a solid foundation in order to sustain and be strong, the same goes with the child. The narrative ends with the mother realising the importance of breastfeeding her child and switching from formula to the former.

The narrative highlights the message that breastfeeding is that essential aspect which when practiced by mothers for more than a prolonged for six months, contributes in reducing the infant mortality rate of the nation and building a better tomorrow.
