1st Sathya Sai World Youth Festival witnesses highly motivating sessions and enthralling cultural performances


Chandigarh, 13th July 2016: The second day of 1st Satya Sai World Youth Festival, organized by The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations India (SSSSO India) and Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSIO) - a multi cultural spiritual service Organisation, witnessed a number of sessions from eminent people. The 3 day festival is being held from 12th to 14th July 2016 at Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh has a participation of over 3500 youth from around 70 countries.

The Day-2, of the ongoing SSWYF-2016 witnessed three exhilarating speeches here, in Prasanthi Nilayam in the morning. Speaking first, was Ms. Saiusha Haridas, Zone 4 Youth Coordinator started off on a high note, deliberating on the topic “Where There Is Love...There Is A Highway,” that offers a most conducive, comfortable, barrier-less journey.  Bringing in interesting anecdote from her personal diary with Swami, Saiusha said, “Without Your gentle nudging and little pushing I would not become the person I am”.

Explaining the many facets of His Love, that helps in trudging on the Highway, the speaker ended saying “When we operate being Love, we uphold high ideals and exemplary character, and thus we truly lead the Highway, the Sai Way.”

Speaking next, Dr Chandinie, a Sai Youth from India, identified the women as Shakti, Intellect and Divine Mother Herself. Keeping Mother Sita as the Ideal, the speaker identified potential messages for young women. “When life crashes on us, what is within us comes out, and through such make or break situations women understand that they are embodiments of love and sacrifice, forgiveness... no situation in life is worth losing out all these inherent qualities in our lives, said the speaker reminding the youth that by being under Bhagawan, we are empowered to bring out a radical change in the society.”

Ms Alida Parkes, Chair, Zone 6 spoke on Love All Serve All, sharing her beautiful journey with Sai, enumerating how Swami selected us, prepared and awakened each of His chosen ones to be His instrument in His Mission.  The veteran speaker holding many responsibilities with the SSIO also stressed on the need to practise Sai, following His teachings, taking the same around the world in a bid to eradicate negativity on the planet. Sharing her message received from Bhagawan, LOVE GOD, FEAR SIN AND PRACTISE MORALITY, Alida Parkers identified her own personal challenge in life, that being not to fail Him, but to raise herself up to His expectations.


The event concluded by SSWYF-2016 theme song by the Indian Youth followed by Bhajans and Mangala Arathi.

1st Sathya Sai World Youth Festival


Chandigarh, July, 12 2016: 
1st Sathya Sai World Youth Festival, The first edition of 3 day Sathya Sai World Youth Festival today kicked off at Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh. The event is being held between 12th to 14th July. It was inaugurated by Mr. Piyush Goyal, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, and New & Renewable Energy, Government of India and celebrity cricketer Mr. VVS Laxman was the guest of honour. Over 3,000 young delegates from around 70 countries are participating in the festival. The delegates have come down from distant countries like Serbia, Peru, Kazakhstan, Ghana, Israel, Trinidad & Tobago and New Zealand to name a few.  The three-day event is aimed at addressing the importance of human values amongst the youth, in daily lives and their practice through love and selfless service, for the betterment of the world. The youth delegates will share their valuable experience gained in their respective countries at this festival with the other participants, thus disseminating the universal and eternal message of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
