Hosted the Unveiling of Slogan on the occasion of International Women’s Day

The India Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI) celebrated International Women’s Day. The Occasion was to unveil the Slogan Beti Ki Udaan, DeshKaSwabhimaan, in the presence of Union Minister for Civil Aviation Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Women in Aviation International (India Chapter) President Radha Bhatia.
The objective of the Celebrations was to lead Women Empowerment in the sphere of Aviation Industry. Personal Inspiration by successful women aviators as role models and mentors can be instrumental in motivation.
The program was attended by esteemed dignitaries and WAI (India Chapter) members, to create awareness among GIRLS about various verticals of Aviation.
Radha Bhatia Chairperson Bird Group and President WAI (India Chapter) says “With the International Women’s Day celebration we aim to empower more and more girls to take Aviation as a viable career option. The aviation sector in India offers endless opportunities for women as pilots, engineers, and many other fields. Women are breaking the traditional moulds and venturing into more adventurous areas. We at WAI India Chapter will also look at providing scholarships to young deserving girls in the field of aviation, thus breaking the gender disparity in the industry”.
