Vodafone India spread smiles empowers underpriviledged kids with study material

A goodie bag equipped with Books, Pens and Chocolates was distributed amongst underprivileged kids

The sole aim of this initiative was to empower kids with basic tools to learn and follow safety rules

Karnal: Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecommunication service providers, today visited MDD Bal Bhawan, Karnal and distributed goodie bags to more than 150 underprivileged kids at the Orphanage. This initiative is aimed at giving them basic learning and educative material to help them in their studies, building up curiosity to learn more and broaden horizons among kids.

Vodafone joined hands with MDD Bal Bhawan, Karnal based orphanage that works with the sole aim of loving & caring for the lives of underprivileged kids and work towards a better tomorrow. Vodafone took this initiative to empower the kids in enhancing their creative potential by giving them goodie bags full of books of their interest, colourful pens and crayons, chocolates, etc.

Commenting on this initiative in Karnal, Mr. Mohit Narru Business Head–Haryana, Vodafone India: “Vodafone is committed to the safety, security and development of the society. We firmly believe that education is the most important element in the development of the country. With this initiative, our purpose is to help every child get access to education which is a fundamental to driving social change. It’s the first step to help the kids to learn and become independent.”

Vodafone passionately works towards the betterment of people and is also committed to achieve the highest standards in Health Safety & Wellbeing (HSW). As part of this initiative, Vodafone team also organised a session with the kids for spreading awareness on Health Safety and Wellbeing. Basic Traffic rules ‘how to cross the road, wearing your seat belt while driving, importance of staying within speed limits, significance of helmet for rider and pillion, etc were discussed with the kids.
