Charoli belongs to the same family as cashew nuts, but the small, brown Chironji seeds are more akin to almonds in taste. The botanical name of Charoli is Buchanania lanzan, but you may also know it by another name - chironji. The charoli tree grows throughout India; it is a deciduous tree that can grow up to 15 meters in height.
