Dr. Vivek Jawali accorded with BMA Lifetime Achievement Award


Bengaluru, 12 January, 2017: Dr. Vivek Jawali, Chairman Cardiac science, Fortis Hospitals Bangalore, recently bagged the BMA Lifetime Achievement Award at the 63rd Annual Bangalore Management Association (BMA) 2016 for his extraordinary contribution in the healthcare industry. The award was presented by former Chief Justice of India Shri. S Rajendra Babu. Along with Dr. Vivek Jawali other eminent personalities like Hindustani vocalist Shymala G Bhave, ISRO chairman A S Kiran Kumar and Dr. K. Kasturirangan, Former chairman ISRO, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's yoga guru S Nagendra have received the award.

Dr. Vivek Jawali accorded with BMA Lifetime Achievement Award


Dr. Vivek Jawali is a pioneer in minimally invasive cardiac surgery in India (1994) and has performed over 18,000 cardiothoracic & vascular surgeries till date. He is the pioneer of beating heart surgery in India (1992) and founder member of the International Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgeons (ISMICS) and is the only Indian on the editorial board of its journal “Innovations in Cardiac Surgery”. He is also the recipient of Harvard Medical International Lifetime achievement award.

BMA is a pioneer in management movement in India. It is associated to All India Management Association (AIMA) New Delhi. It was launched as a professional body to study and promote the principles of management in a more scientific way.
