The objective of this initiative in which over 105 students along with teachers participated, was to communicate to a large audience about the various ways of conserving energy along with encouraging children to become responsible citizens of the society. Through the rally, students of Club Enerji left behind an impression on the minds of more than 1000 onlookers; using a myriad of colourful posters, banners and placards that were prepared by them before the rally.

Speaking on this initiative Mr. Anil Sardana, CEO & MD, Tata Power, said, “Club Enerji has been able to become a nation-wide movement because of the dedication and enthusiasm of our young members. We had only taken a step towards developing young minds to become aware and accountable for their actions towards mother earth. But over the years, we have come to learn from them and I proud of that. I would like to extend my gratitude to the teachers and students of Gyaan Mandr Public School for their unmatched enthusiasm for this activity.”

The Club Enerji initiative has been contributing extensively towards a brighter and greener tomorrow by undertaking several successful initiatives. The savings of 17.26 MU of electricity is equivalent to saving 17,200 tonne of CO2 for a year. Tata Power’s Club Enerji has won numerous accolades and has been recognised as a best practice in forums like Learning Mission by the Tata group. A case study has also been done by IIM Ahmedabad on the programme.
