Delhi, October 26th, 2016: Kidzee, the largest network of pre-school chain in Asia organized a special ‘smoke Free Diwali’ campaign all over the capital city of Delhi on October 22nd, 2016. Children from 35 Kidzee centres spread across Delhi gathered in their respective catchments for a walk to raise awareness on celebrating a smoke free Diwali this year. A total of 1500 children and 600 parents participated in the campaign. Some of the centres to organize the walk were- Uttam Nagar, Rajouri Garden, Patel Nagar, Dwarka, Saket, Gujrawalan Town, Janakpuri, Chattarpur, Palam.
Kidzee’s children distributed handmade cards to the local residents to promote the idea of eco-friendly Diwali and its importance. The initiative was planned to sensitize society on the issue of pollution caused during Diwali. Zero to six years is the most crucial age of development for children as this is when brain develops the most and lifelong habits are formed.
