 analytica Anacon India and India Lab Expo, India’s leading trade fairs for laboratory technology, analysis, biotechnology and diagnostics market, kicked of its 9th edition at the Hitex exhibition center in Hyderabad 20th October 2016. The twin trade fairs were inaugurated by Mr. Ashes Ganguly, President from Indian Analytical Instruments Association, Mr. P.V.Appaj, Director General from Pharmexcil, Mr. Venkateshwarlu, President from Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Mr. Ravindra Modi , President from Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry. It brought together internationally renowned exhibitors, consultants, business experts and key government officials on one common platform to discuss global best practices and seek solutions to some of the most pressing challenges related to the industry.

The first day highlights of the trade fairs includes high-impact conference titled ‘Science meets Technology’ which focused on ‘Regulatory aspects of Pharmaceutical Laboratories’, 
‘Biopharmaceuticals and Bioanalysis’, ‘Food Safety’ and ‘Clinical Diagnosis’. The conference was hosted by the Indian Analytical Instruments Association (IAIA) and was attended by speakers, eminent scientists and industry representatives, coming from domestic and international markets. The program was rounded out by tutorials in four sessions where practical application tips were passed on the audience. There were more than 250 delegates participating at the conference who also had the opportunity to interact with eminent scientists visiting the twin trade fairs.

The trade fairs also held pre-scheduled Buyer-Seller meetings simultaneously with the conference where more than 350 buyer-seller meetings have been scheduled over the span of three days out of which over 200 were VIP buyers. Exhibitors, decision makers and VIPs directly networked and interacted with clients and other industry delegates from international and domestic market and discussed about new equipments, technologies and solutions. 

The trade fairs witnessed around 250 exhibitors both from international and domestic market, who came together to provide solutions & promote best practices through technology. The exhibition saw participation from international pavilions like Germany and China and also witnessed exhibitors like asAbdos Labtech, Agilent Technologies, AJ Instrument, Akshaya Scientifics, Art Lab Equipments, Brand Scientific Equipment, Cryogen, Honeywell, IKA India, Merck Millipore, Newtronic Lifecare Equipment, Osworld Scientific Equipments, Shimadzu and Waters India showcase their products and services.

For the first time ever, the trade fairs staged a Live Lab, where exhibitors and visitors had visual experience of lab demonstrations. A real life laboratory was set-up where exhibitors showcased and performed live experiments for the visitors by displaying and running instruments from their company. Visitors attended the Live Lab Demonstration included lab technicians, principal scientists and people related to research and development, quality control and contract research laboratories.
