Saptami invites Chef Ram Prasad from Jaipur for Rajashthani Food festival

Saptami the multi-cuisine all day dining restaurant at Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport, Sakinaka, Andheri East has invited Chef Ram Prasad from Jaipur to showcase traditional Rajasthani gastronomical delights. The Rajasthani Food Festival will begin from Aug 19 and will continue till Aug 28.

Chef Ram Prasad hails from Jaipur and started his career from the famed "Choki Dhani" Rajasthani themed Park, well-known in India and a must visit landmark in Jaipur. He learned the nuances of cooking from renowned chefs like Karan Singh Rathore, Wardhuram Gurjar and Ramzan Khan. An accomplish chef he prefers doing things his way and is proficient in dealing with variety of meats as well as vegetables. His dexterity lies in presenting Rajputi and Marwari palate with his distinct and subtle techniques.

The chef will be carrying his own spices and other authentic ingredients to ensure that perfect taste. Some of the stuff which the chef is carrying with him includes local chilli powder,  yellow chilli powder,  Shekavati masala, dry Mathania chilly, local pickles, ker, sangdi etc.

The soups in the cyclical menu include Papad Mangodi Ka Shorba, Murgh Bajrey Ki Raab . The starters will consist of  Kankar Kabab (Roasted Moong Dal), Chatpata Aloo, Murgh Sitara, Roti Pay Boti etc.

Some of the main course preparations on the dinner spread will be Paneer Jeera Mirra , Sev Tamater Ka Saag, Aloo Pyaiz ki Sabzi, Farsan-Kachori Dal,  Dal Bati (Masala) Churma  (Besan), Govind Gatta, Kadi, Safed Maas, Murgh Banjara, Moong Daal Mewadi, Bajray Ka Khichda, Gatta Pulao etc.

Patrons can have a choice of assorted breads such as Bajre ki Roti, Misi, Jawar, Moth, Naan, Roti, Prantha etc. The dessert counter will have Jodhpuri Gulab Jamun, Balushai, Misri Mawa Dulchini Ka Halwa, Ghee Chawla Burra, Gewar etc.
