An Initiative to raise awareness about women’s rights and empowerment

28th July 2016, New Delhi – Zoomcar in association with DLF Promenade will host an exclusive initiative to apprise people on ‘Women’s rights and empowerment’ through art, music and engaging quizzes. The campaign involves artists who will create visually appealing graffiti art, on two Nano Cars from Zoomcar, to be showcased LIVE at DLF Promenade Mall, Vasant Kunj on 30th July from 12 noon to 8 pm.

To apprise masses of same, Zoomcar has joined hands with Harsh Raman, a renowned street artist , SHE: Women Warriors (NGO) and DLF Promenade Mall. The hand painted cars will aim to give an artistic expression to the pressing cause of women empowerment. This coupled with live music and awareness led engagement activities will aim to impact awareness and participation from patrons of the mall. 

In addition, Zoomcar will conduct roadshows across Delhi for a week with the cars and then open them for customer bookings. On this occasion, Mr. Greg Moran, Founder, Zoomcar said, “Women Rights and Empowerment is a serious issue in Delhi. We intend to create social awareness via an innovative medium of art on our cars. The proud customers who rent these beautifully painted Nano cars will not only be hiring a piece of art but also spreading an important social message as they zoom around the town!!”

DLF Promenade will further show support for this initiative by running an exclusive social media campaign to achieve further sensitization towards the cause.
There will be a live music performance by musician Sonali Vij, and a quiz session by SHE: Women Warriors.

A native of New Delhi, Harsh Raman is a multidisciplinary artist who has been changing the city’s landscape with his vivid imagination and vibrant art. Prolific within the subculture that is redefining the country’s streets, Harsh’s art takes many forms – from walls to textiles to digital canvases and cinema. 

Professionally, Harsh Raman has worked with various big brands such as Prakash Jha, Force India F1 racing team, Saavn, Playboy, FDCI, Absolut, NDTV, HP and Tetra Pak to name a few. 

His firm belief that “Art is for everyone” and can be used as a powerful tool to bring the community together, has led him to create urban art interventions such as Brinda Project, Quijote Wallah Project and the most recent Walls Of Women (WOW) Project, while also participating in various domestic and international street art festivals.
