Deeksha N Rao, a student of Kumaran's college and a disciple of Poornima K Gururaja of kalasindhu academy of dance and related arts will be performing her Arangetram on Sunday 26th June 2016 in JSS auditorium, jayanagar. She will be presenting a kannada themed Arangetram written and tuned by contemporary composers, in the presence of Jnanapeetha Awardee Dr. Chandrashekara Kambara, Padmasri Dr.V.R.Gowrishankar, Karnataka Kalashree Layakalaprathibhamani Sri Tirumale Srinivas and Sri Balavantrao Patil, Joint Director, Dept. of Kannada & Culture.
Kalasidnhu academy of Dance is the brainchild of Poornima Gururaja, senior disciple of Guru Narmada of Bangalore. Kalasindhu practices and propagates the parampara of the legendary Guru Shri Kittappa Pillai of Tanjavoor. Known for their in-depth treatment of themes and neat presentations, Kalasindhu productions are much sought after.
