Bengaluru, May 05, 2016: “Realty reports indicate that Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities like Vadodara, Mysore, Mangalore, Coimbatore, Vizag, Indore, Cuttack, Mangalore, Pune, among others have an immensely high demand for residential realty. According to a study by PropEquity, Vizag recorded a 41% absorption of residential units in 2015, with Trivandrum and Vishakhapatnam being close behind. Tier 1 cities, on the other hand continue to witness a high absorption rate of commercial real estate in the form of Office Retail Complexes (ORCs) according to studies conducted by Jones Lang Lasalle. Fashion, F&B and health care management are forerunners in this segment,” said Ganesh Babu, Director IDE Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd while announcing the 5th edition of IDE’s immensely successful B2B initiative – RESCOM-Summit India which was held at Sheraton Grand on May 5th and 6th.

IDE organized the 5th edition of RESCOM to bring Tier 2 and Tier 3 builders in direct contact with quality suppliers, emphasized Ganesh Babu. Additionally, at RESCOM, architects and developers of commercial spaces in Tier 1 cities were able to interact to facilitate sourcing of international quality products to keep up with the demands of maintaining global standards.

A first in the B2B industry, RESCOM is an event that brings together Procures (builders, developers, PMCs, architects and designers) and Suppliers from across India onto a single platform to interact and ink deals on the spot. The Summit aims to bridge the gap between the two segments by ensuring that key decision-makers from both sides are a part of the summit and have first choice on the brands that they would like to interact with.

This year’s edition of RESCOM saw close to 77 participants among the procures and 42 from the suppliers. Among the procurers in attendance were Puravankara Projects, EMAAR MGF, Piramal Group, Reliance Industries, Shapoorji-Pallonji and Godrej Properties. Among the suppliers were brands like Durian, Hafele, Panasonic, Hepzhi and Voltas .

Outlining the meticulously planned details of the two-day event which was held at Hotel Sheraton Grand on May 5th and 6th2016, Ganesh Babu said, “What makes RESCOM-Summit India stand tall among other B2B initiatives is that it organizes pre-scheduled 20 minute face-to-face meetings between procurers and sellers speeding up the process of procurement and delivery.”
