Rajeev is a known name in the music circles of Bangalore. His musical journey began 24 years ago when he fell in love with his first guitar and started to compose music. His lyrics, as aptly described by him, are 'liquid emotions moulded into a song'. Whether he is composing soulful ballads, rock rants or alternative Indie, his work is all heart and soul.
Over the years, Rajeev has played in several bands like the Wolfpack and Rebels and collaborated with names like Thermal and a Quarter, Retronome and Stomp.
He has gigged with several foreign bands and been the opening artiste at high profile music festivals across the country. Now soaring solo as The Wayfarer’s Lyric, Rajeev presents his contemporary pop rock album with a dash of alternative, Rock n Roll and Indie. An accomplished musician, he plays the guitars, drums, percussions, keyboard, piano, bass, mandolin, banjo, balalaika, pipa, pan pipes, penny whistle and kalimba.
Rajeev feels a strong calling towards inculcating music in the next generation.
