April 18, 2016: Ola, India’s most popular mobile app for transportation has rolled out an on ground campaign to encourage citizens across Delhi to adopt ride-sharing in order to support the Odd-Even initiative of the Delhi Govt. Ola volunteers are stationed at key traffic junctions, around metro stations and other high footfall areas across the city to engage and guide users towards the most suitable ride-sharing option. This is beyond the wide variety of on-demand transport solutions enabled for the citizens by Ola. The Company has also temporarily pulled out Peak Pricing in Delhi NCR, in support of Govt's Odd Even initiative.

We have also rolled out an on-ground campaign where volunteers are spreading the message of ride-sharing and car-pooling in support of the scheme. Ola remains committed to a clean and green Delhi NCR while it enables sustainable transport solutions for the citizens in the region. Ola’s shared mobility solutions including Ola Share and Ola Shuttle have seen tremendous response and adoption from users in the region. A lot of demand is being witnessed in business districts, around metro stations and other popular areas in the city.”

This campaign is one of the many initiatives taken by the Company as part of its commitment to pollution free transportation. Since September 2015, 100% demand within Delhi has been met using only CNG run vehicles. Ola has been rapidly building its CNG fleet and currently has over 26,000 CNG vehicles on its platform. The Company has also set aside INR 200 crore to push CNG adoption in the region.
