Ivy World School, Jalandhar Prepares to catch a Shooting Star with Words


Jalandhar, March 26, 2016: Ivy World School, Jalandhar, presented the new Shooting Range and the Knowledge Centre to the students here today at a beautifully organized inauguration ceremony. The aim of knowledge is to make our actions in life better, our reactions more understanding and our aims in our sight. The Knowledge Centre and the e-library were inaugurated by Mr.Harbhupinder Singh Nanda, IAS, Commissioner Jalandhar Division amongst a lot of fanfare. The Shooting Range was inaugurated by ace shooter, Arjuna Awardee, Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist, Ms. Avneet Sidhu, DSP Bhathinda. It was a befitting inauguration of both the centres by professionals of the related fields. The ribbon cutting and dedication was followed by a cultural programme where Ivyians presented a colourful display of their talent and appreciation for natural resources.

A programme to save electricity, SESE, was unveiled and the logo designed by an Ivyian student was also launched. Vasal Education Society announced scholarships worth 80,000 rupees for deserving students of Gr 11 and Gr 12 to promote talent and academic effort. It was a day filled with dedications and encouragement as Ivy World School brought more world class facilities to its premises and added another feather to its cap.
