New Delhi, March 29, 2016: GirnarSoft, the parent company to India’s top auto portals such as CarDekho.com, Gaadi.com and Zigwheels.com, announced the appointment of Amit Monga as its Deputy Director- CarDekho Auctions. Amit comes with over six years of experience in building and scaling ventures. Prior to joining CarDekho.com, he co-founded Fitrrati, a SaaS based tech tool which helps online users in knowing their right size while shopping from fashion e-stores. The technology is being deployed across all major fashion e-tailers including Myntra, Jabong, Snapdeal, Trendin, Voonik, Freecultr, among others. Amit has moved to an advisory role in Fitrrati. At 24, he successfully led the acquisition of eSportsBuy.com which was bought by Snapdeal.com.
In his new role, Amit will build unique online car auctions platform leading a team of 70 members. The company has partnered with new car dealerships and top leasing companies to auction their used cars on its platform. Individuals who want to exchange their old vehicles while purchasing new cars can also get better value for their old cars through CarDekho Auctions. With 250+ active registered buyers in Delhi-NCR and 3000+ buyers pan India, it has a huge dealer network on its platform.
An engineering grad from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Amit is a passionate entrepreneur with a penchant for growing startups from the ground up. He co-founded eSportsBuy.com, one of the first sports & fitness e-commerce portals in India, and led its successful acquisition by Snapdeal in a move that also saw him join the e-commerce giant as its Sports Category Head. He later served as the Business Head for Universal Sportsbiz’s Accel Partners-funded Collectabillia.com, which is India’s first celebrity merchandise company. Prior to joining GirnarSoft, he was involved in Fitrrati, India’s first SaaS based data driven fit technology solution, as its Co-founder & CEO.
