Viridian RED has started work on all four blocks of WTC-GIFT City simultaneously with 900 labourers deployed on site
Ahmedabad, February 2, 2016:
Viridian RED, the real estate development arm of Viridian Group, has casted one of the biggest raft foundations in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gujarat for World Trade Center (WTC). The Company, which is setting up Gujarat’s first WTC, is developing an iconic building which is expected to be ready by 2018.
Raft foundation is a thick concrete slab reinforced with steel which covers the entire contact area of the structure like a thick floor. The raft work at the foundation site is expected to be completed in next few months.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Prashant Tripathi, official spokesperson of Viridian Group said, “GIFT City which is emerging as India's global financial hub is the ideal location for WTC’s entry into Gujarat. Construction work has begun at full swing on ground after getting all the required permissions and our first tower is going to be ready for occupants in next 24 months' time. For this foundation, we have erected 1,100 tons of steel and casted more than 5,000 cubic meters of concrete.”
WTC Gift City has been allocated 1 million square feet space at GIFT. The Company will invest around Rs. 600 crore over the next couple of years. GIFT, a globally benchmarked International Financial Service Centre (IFSC) developed by Government of Gujarat, will cater to India's large financial services potential by offering global firms, world-class infrastructure and facilities.
Mr. Tripathi said with the global brand recognition it brings, WTC makes GIFT City a truly global epicenter; while the world-class infrastructure of GIFT City enhances the value of WTC as international business destination.
