Two Panel Discussions on 01."What do investors look for when investing" and 02. "Entrepreneurship is not for all, how to ensure it is for you" to be held part of the event





Hyderabad, January 29, 2016....To nurture entrepreneurship and encourage student Entrepreneurship, an in curation center was inaugurated at St Martin Engineering College today. One if the few incubation centres in city, it was inaugurated by CII AP Chairman Suresh Rayudu.



The incubation Center was inaugurated as part of the two day "Startp-a-thon 1.0".



Addressing the gathering Suresh Rayudu complemented the organisers for conducting the event. Starting an incubation by a college is a welcome move he said. We have lot of opportunities and challenges as well. The budding entrepreneurs must come with such enterprises which can offer solutions to such problems. Jack for all and master of none doesn't work. You need lot of resources to do that, he told the attendees to focus on few things



Organised jointly by askfunding.in and St. Martin Engineering College (SMEC) in Kompally informed Rajiv Lulla, askfunding.in.



27 Startups have registered for initial round of pitching. The selected ones will make pitches to panel if invest eps on a day two event to be held at T-Hub.



About 300 students and entrepreneurs graced the event.



Shoba and BP Singh, Director of R&D St Martin’s also participated. Addressing the gathering Singh stressed upon the importance of Entrepreneurship and added that it is as equal ant as studies.



Giving his welcoming address, Rajeev said launching out on own of youngsters is catching up in city as more and more colleges are setting up Incubation Centers to nurture entrepreneurship among the students.  It was once restricted to premier institutions like IITs and IIMs.  Now it goes beyond them, to many small, unknown colleges in both big and small cities and towns in India.



A Live Mentoring Workshop was also held. Some of the mentors who participated include;  Sanjay Enishetty – Founder 50k Ventures;  Varun Reddy – Director Intersoft International  & myhrsoftpro.com; Viiveck Verma – TedX & SAHE; Aashish Malve - Angaros Management C0;  Suresh Rayudu Chitturi – MD Srinivasa Hatcheries & Chairman CII. AP.; Venkat TC – Founder Director eMug Technologies



On day two, the venue will be shifted to Catalyst Building, in T-Hub at IIIT Gachibowli.  It will be hosted by askmentor pvt. ltd, he added.



Two panel discussions on topics relevant to startups will be held These subjects for panel discussion are 01.  "What do investors look for when investing" and 02. "Entrepreneurship is not for all, how to ensure it is for you".



Also on day two, Manoj Sharma, CTO Quikr.com will be introducing the platform to the audience comprising mostly of entrepreneurs and tech geeks.



The aim of this event is to encourage entrepreneurship among students and youth.  Also to remove general perception among the many that risk is attached with entrepreneurship. We want to change this by providing support with this initiative,” Rajiv said. Also the objective of this event is to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.
