Shruti Haasan celebrates her birthday at Little Flower Convent School

Chennai based Ungalukagha Charitable Trust and Rotary Club of Madras T.Nagar jointly organized SAVE THE BLIND CHILDREN programme at THE LITTLE FLOWER HOME for BLIND
Ungalukagha Charitable Trust already organized various Master health checkup camps like General Health Care in Association with Global Hospital, Eye Camps in association with Sankara Netralaya Hospital., Nungambakkam and Sri Sankara Hospital, Pammal, Chennai.

Apart from that Various Blood Donation awareness Camps organized in various places in Chennai, in association with RGGGH, Egmore Children’s Hospital, Indian Red Cross Society Red cross Blood Bank, Adayar Cancer institute And many others. We have procured around 3100 units of blood and donated to various above mentioned hospitals in last 4 years.

The programme was started with a prayer by the students followed by a mega size Cake cutting by the Chief guest Ms.Shruti Haasan to mark and celebrate her birthday.

After the inauguration of the Save the Blind Children programme Chief Guest Ms.Shruti Haasan, lauded the effort taken by Dr.Suneel, Founder of Ungalukagha Charitable Trust and members from Rotary Club of Madras T.Nagar for organising this event for a noble cause and thanked the Ungalukagha Charitable Trust for the opportunity given to participate with this children and I am very much happy today being here with these children to celebrate my birthday too. Actress Shruti Haasan spend around one hour with the inmates of Little Flower Home for Blinds.

10.Sleeping Mats for LKG Students - 20 Nos
11. Learning Kits procured from Worth Trust Katpadi- 300 Nos

D. Registers (Attendance)- 50 Nos

16. Braille Perkins machines- 3 Nos
Besides Bed sheets, Towels, Biscuit packets, Tooth Paste, Tooth Brush, Medicines, Bath Soaps, to the inmates and office bearers of The Little Flower Home for Blinds.
Highlights of event :

More than 1000 people come forward to donate their eyes and handed over the eye donation registration form to the ROTARY RAJAN EYE BANK in the name of VISION MISSION drive initiated by Ungalukagha Charitable Trust.

Rare Medicinal tree SAPLINGS planted inside the compound of The Little Flower Convent as part of the GO GREEN INITIATIVE OF UNGALUKAGHA CHARITABLE TRUST. We Are Going To Plant 5000 saplings in various schools and colleges in 2016 under the GO GREEN PROJECT of UNGALUKAGHA CHARITABLE TRUST.

2 TRICYCLES distributed to the disabled Needy Persons by UNGALUKAGHA CHARITABLE TRUST

Delicious Lunch were provided to all children & Staff members of The Little Flower Home for Blinds about 1000 members.

Dr Suneel, Founder & Managing Trustee of Ungalukagha Charitable Trust, Shri. Ravi Venkatraman, President Rotary Club of Madras T.Nagar, Dr.Mohan Rajan, Chairman, Rotary Rajan Eye Bank, Shri.Rathan Raj Rajamanickam, Chairman, Nakshathra Power, Dr. Praveen Tellakula and many other members from Ungalukagha Charitable Trust & Rotary Club of Madras T.Nagar were also present on this occasion.

According to Dr.Suneel, Founder and Managing Trustee of Ungalukagha Charitable Trust have also a request to the Corporates, IT Sector, Builders to extend their support to the various Orphanages to make them happy and rejoice for a new leap of life to them and to get more confident to live in this wonderful world.

At the end of the Save the Blind Children programme Celebration the care taker and the inmates of Little Flower Home for Blinds thanked and blessed the members of Ungalukagha Chariable Trust and Rotary Club of Madras T.Nagar and every one for this noble initiative taken by them.
