Maharashtra College to introduce Alternate Banking for its students

Maharashtra College of Arts, Science and Commerce will introduce the concept of Alternate Banking i.e Interest Free Banking System for the students from the next academic year, revealed the college Principal Dr. Sirajuddin Chougle.

Under the guidance of Dr Shariq Nisar, a renowned international scholar and an authority on Islamic Finance, the college will have a Certificate course for the students, Dr Chougle said and added that this course will equip the students with the modern and fast growing economic system in the world and generally in the country.

Dr Nisar, who visited the college interacted with the faculty members and also congratulated and gave his best wishes to the newly appointed college principal Dr Chougle.

As exams were in process the interaction between senior teachers of Economic  Mathematics and Commerce along with representatives of the management took place in the Principal's chamber.
As part of its ongoing initiative of involving students and faculty members Maharashtra College organized  "Let's Share" concept where teaching faculty members of all the three stream came together and each one of them presented a topic of their choice at the College Auditorium on Friday.
The concept initiated by Dr Abdul Majid Ansari of the Commerce faculty in consultation with the college Principal Dr Sirajuddin Chougle, was a welcome move and was appreciated by all the faculty members of the college.

The teachers were allowed to chose any topic of their likings which were presented by them and later the floor was open to all and many of them debated the pros and cons on the subject.
 The first speaker was Prof M Z Shahid of Political Science department. His topic was on the concept of "Human Rights " The interactive session was very lively and varied views emerged on the subject.
