UAE, 23 January 2016 - The American Hospital Dubai will play a high profile role as Platinum Sponsor, Exhibitor and Congress supporter at Arab Health 2016, with a range of conference speakers and moderators. At Arab Health 2016, the American Hospital Dubai will present its comprehensive range of services and specialist centers, from The Neuroscience Center to the Sleep Lab, reflecting the transformation of the Hospital into an expert provider of highly specialised and advanced forms of tertiary care, through teams of specialist consultants who are all US board certified or equivalent. The Hospital is increasingly developing these specialist practices into regional centers.

Senior physicians and management from the American Hospital Dubai are involved in conferences at the Arab Health Congress – the world's largest CME accredited multi-track medical congress - as moderators and speakers at conference sessions. Dr Omar K Hallak, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, is Activity Director at the 8th Middle East Cardiovascular Disease and Intervention Conference. Dr Aaron Han Chief, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
and Acting Chief Medical Officer at the American Hospital Dubai is a keynote speaker at the MEDLAB Congress/Laboratory Management Conference, and will also chair the 4th Middle East Big Data Conference at the Arab Health Congress.

The American Hospital Dubai has just opened an Advanced Rehabilitation Center to provide specialty care for patients requiring long-term care for serious conditions such as stroke or spinal cord injuries. The Center combines high-tech and high-touch to optimize the expertise of a multidisciplinary team. The aim is to get the patient back into the family home and community, living life as normally as possible. The new dedicated facility is located in the hospital’s new Bed Tower, with a total of 22 private rooms and more than 20 staff.

Peter Makowski, CEO of the American Hospital Dubai, added: “In 2016, the American Hospital Dubai will focus on three major themes through the course of the year, each of which will help enhance our clinical services and patient care. The themes are - patient access to services, personalized medicine, and innovation. 2016 will be another landmark year for the American Hospital Dubai, with the launch of exciting new initiatives and innovative services that will continue the hospital’s pioneering tradition. All of these are based firmly on our JCI and CAP accreditations, which were reaffirmed in 2015, maintaining our perfect record in these leading international accreditation programs. One of our major developments in 2015 was the launch of our first primary care clinic in the community and we are delighted with the response over the first 12 months of operation. In fact, we are now extending services to include Gynaecology and Dermatology.”
