India August 5, 2016: FDCI designer Samant Chauhan needs no introduction; he started his career 10 years ago after his graduation from NIFT with a single idea and focus in mind “Designing”. Samant has come a long way post his 10 year journey in the industry. He made traditional clothing of prominence all over again.
Driven by passion and focus Samant started with a small studio in Shapurjat growing to supply to many multiband stores in India and abroad. Samant’s signature style of ivory white “Bhagalpur Silk” and Red lining has become a haute favorite in the domestic and international fashion circuits, from capes to dresses to gowns he is ruling them all. The launch also entailed the launch of Samant’s home furnishings and furniture collection, comprising of exquisite wooded carving work and handloom – hand embroidered furnishings.

On 5th of August 2016, Samant added another feature in his cap by launching a massive 3-storied studio in Shapurjat, the designers’ nest of South Delhi. The store in divided into various sections showcasing different moods of the designer as an extension of his persona. The ground floor starts with “The prét Store” where his latest collection is on display with his iconic throne chair, stationary and small leather goods.
Moving along the circular staircase, which is covered with lush green planters and their branched we move on to the second level of the store, his ready to wear bridal collection. With specially crafted clutches on display matching every ensemble this level is a dream come true for every bride to be, from cocktail wear to bridal couture its all on showcase here.
The third level is the mood setter, contrasting from what one sees on the ground and first level this floor changes the mood and color tones from ivories and khadi to black and grunge. This floor caters to menswear and the designers VIP lounge where he sits himself catering to the special needs of his couture clients.
Samant’s 10 years of hard work, blood and sweat is beautifully showcased through the multi-layers of the store, which are, decorated to perfection by the master couturier himself.
