BharatiyaChhatraSansad over three days saw students participating from across cities like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad as well as from countries like Netherlands, Nepal, Germany etc. A variety of hot topics were discussed like Freedom of speech- how much is too much? ; Reservation on caste – social justice or total injustice? ; Black money and elections – Who will bell the cat? amongst others.

Extending his gratitude towards participating students and dignitaries, Prof. Rahul Karad, Dean and Founder, MIT-SOG, said, “I am extremely humbled by the fantastic student turnout and participation for the 7thBharatiyaChhatraSansad chapter. I hope the students enjoyed all the sessions and were able to take back some learning over these three days. Our aim of starting BCS was to encourage youth to participate in politics and somewhere change the negative connotation politics has. Our 8th chapter is now scheduled from 19th to 21st Jan 2018 and I hope we see an even bigger turnout for the same. Lastly, I will like to thank all the dignitaries who spared their valuable time and shared some priceless inputs with the students.”

On receiving the ideal Chief Minister Award, veteran CPM leader Shri. Manik Sarkar, CM, Tripura said, “I will like to thank MIT- School of Govt. for conferring me with this honor. I congratulate Prof. Rahul Karad for this unique initiative of BharatiyaChhatraSansad and urge the youth to enter politics for the betterment of the country. I hope to see young faces entering main stream politics and paving the way for a brighter future.”

The student community witnessed some intriguing speeches by thought leaders like Baba Ramdev, Arnab Goswami, Shri. Vijay Goel, Shiv Khera, Tushar Gandhi, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Dr.LobsangSangay and many others. They spoke on various topics pertaining to nation building and encouraged the youth to build a stronger India by strengthening our democracy.

Baba Ramdev shared an interesting perspective while speaking about Multinational Corporations – saviors or saboteurs? wherein he said, “ MNCs come to India to only make profit. They invest one rupee and take back hundred. I feel, we do not really need any FDI as we are self-sufficient in developing our markets. It is quite evident from all the cash that was put back in the system due to the demonetization drive. My advice to the youth is that while starting a business look at the bigger picture and ensure your business is universal, secular and scientific.“

The 7thBharatiyaChhatraSansad concluded with more than 10,000 student participation along with a robust line up of industrial, spiritual and political leaders.
