Rotary Club of Madras Southwest (RCMSW) presented the Vocational Services Award in a grand ceremony held here at Teynampet. The Chief Guest for the day was Shri.N. Gopalaswami, Former Chief Election Commissioner of India, and Honor Rtn.R.M. Ananth, Director Vocational Services,RI District 3230 was the Guest of Honour. 5 awards were presented in the evening to different personalities in honor of their excellence in their respective fields.
Mr. Arvind P. Datar, Senior Advocate, Madras High Court received the Lifetime of Professional Excellence Award for being an outstanding advocate and exemplar for ethical conduct in the legal profession.
Mr. Arthanari, R, Educationist, received the Rotary’s for the Sake of Honor Award, for his lifelong commitment to education, and sustained excellence in holistic teaching practices, for living by Gandhian values.
Rtn. PHF. Vijay Anand, Entrepreneur & Motivational Speaker, was awarded the Vocational Excellence Award for the year, for his versatile experience in the multi-faceted field of logistics.
Mr. SaiShravanam, Classically trained Sound Designer & Acclaimed Percussionist, received the Young Achiever Awardin Arts, for his multi-disciplined expertise in the field of music.
Ms. Sandhya Winfred, Ace Shooter, was awarded the Young Achiever Award in Sports, for her single minded focus and determination to make it as a Master Shooter (one of the top 10 in the country), at the state, national and international level.
