D. S. Research Centre organized a special nationwide drive on the occasion of World Cancer Day on Tuesday 4th February 2017 under the theme of “Together We Can” highlighting the role of togetherness in fighting cancer.
The team of D.S. Research Centre carried on various activities with the cancer fighters of Kidwai Institute of Oncology and college students to raise the bar of awareness regarding cancer. The programme was inaugurated by Mr R. Ravichandran Yadav, who had participated in Mr Universe 2016 (bodybuilding) and had secured 5th position in the competition and Mr Ramanjaneya, BJP Candidate of Mysore Road, Timberyard. They had previously been a part of many social activities and showed immense support to D.S.Research Centre for world cancer day 2017.
The team received tremendous response from all the participants who showed their support and motivation for the cancer fighters through tattoo art and through selfies with various positive messages.
Awareness regarding cancer is still less in India and individuals are ignorant about it too. Our main aim is to reach out to various sections of the society and spread knowledge. Therefore, a special interactive session was also been organized in form of quiz competition.
