Divas Sophie Choudry and Bruna Abdullah intensify the league’s star power

New Delhi, 09th February 2017: Super Fight League (SFL), the world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) league will set the O-zone on fire with Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez both cheering for their teams during crucial last round league matches at the inaugural season of the Super Fight League on 10th and 12th February respectively at Siri Fort Sports Complex in New Delhi.

This weekend’s ‘Fight-Nights’ will see Arjun Rampal’s Delhi Heroes battle it out against Sher-e-Punjab in a must win match on 10th February and failure to do so will ensure that Randeep Hooda’s Haryana Sultans will join Sher-e-Punjab in the semi-finals from Group A.

In Group B, Ajay Devgn’s Mumbai Maniacs will face Tiger Shroff’s Bengaluru Tigers who are leading the group in a do-or-die match for the Mumbai Maniacs. In addition to a win, the Mumbai Maniacs also need to hope that Jacqueline Fernandez’s Goa Pirates lose to Intex’s Gujarat Warriors for a place in the semi-finals. The Maniacs and the Pirates are tied on points but the Pirates are in second position due to a superior point difference.

Divas Bruna Abdullah and Sophie Choudry will also add to the glitz and glam of the Super Fight League on Friday, 10th Feb and Saturday, 11th Feb respectively.

Bill Dosanjh, SFL’s CEO & Principal Founder said, “We’re into the final round of the league stage and I must say that it doesn’t get more exciting than this. The weekend’s matches will exhibit just how much excitement these fighters bring to the O-zone. I’m pleased that we have with us Arjun, Jacqueline, Sophie and Bruna this weekend to encourage and cheer for our SFL superstars.”

Last weekend, Tiger Shroff, the co-owner of Bengaluru Tigers showed off some of the key martial arts moves while Govinda in his Mumbaiya style mesmerized the audience with famous yesteryears dialogues. Salim-Sulaiman who had earlier performed at the opening ceremony on January 20th 2017 was also present to support their team UP Nawabs.

Super Fight League is currently the biggest MMA Promotion in Asia and GCC Region and the third biggest digitally viewed league in the world and is telecast, LIVE and exclusive, every Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 PM onwards on SONY ESPN & SONY ESPN HD channels and can also be streamed live on SonyLIV. Tickets available on BookMyShow.

The league for the first time has a distinctive point scoring system that separates the Super Fight League from all of the other leagues. Each SFL team will be comprised of six players (five male fighters and one female fighter) who will be competing in six different weight categories and evaluated on the basis of a 5 point scoring system.
