An internationally acclaimed designer Miss Ashima Sharma is a well-travelled individual whose quest for designing knowledge has led her to receive various laurels in a very short span of time. Despite having a Bachelor’s in Design and Fashion Technology from FIDM – Los Angeles, USA, her passion for design made her to get enrolled into various intensive courses in the most prestigious of designing schools of the world. She has been an alumnus of The New York School of Design, FIDM – Los Angeles, London College of Fashion, and the Art Institute of Las Vegas, wherein she learned from fellow designers and instructors from all over the world.
Despite being in the industry for a short span of time, she is quickly making a mark in the designing business. She is an expert in Pret and Western Wear Drapes which she classifies as her strength area. She has been nominated for an award in Pret Category at the International Apparel Federation Students Awards. Being from a service class family, she was encouraged to be a doctor in life. However, her creative obsession made her resist all the pressure and follow her passion towards fashion and design. Starting a business was a huge challenge that she undertook and she had to learn things the hard way. She learnt marketing by observing tradesmen and deeply studying marketplaces. A mind full of willingness to learn and objectivity in approach, gave her the insight into markets and marketing. Though thoughtful, she is a zealous personality with great dedication and the courage to make things happen.
Her style of designing is very elegant and classy. However, it is chic and modern at the same time. She has a great ability of creating a subtle blend between classy and edgy styles in her work.
Ashima is naturally a creative person who has been creating sketches and designs from as early as she can remember. She loves to play the piano, read books, sketch her mind and has a keen interest in occult sciences and spirituality. Nevertheless, her interest in writing and poetry speaks volumes about her.
