University of British Columbia, Canada announces admission for Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs program

A highly-coveted discipline, The Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs (MPPGA) is a two-year global public policy program at UBC, Vancouver, Canada designed to prepare students for senior management roles as policy analysts, foreign policy strategists, directors of corporate policy and similar functions in different eco-systems across the world. The programme aims to have graduates to be work-ready, and flexible and fluent in all sorts of situations, whether they involve government, business, or not-for-profits.

The program provides access to a suite of MPPGA professional skills workshops and career support to cultivate students’ leadership skills and help them succeed in influencing policy decisions in areas such as policy strategy, foreign policy, strategic communications and digital diplomacy, clean energy, global security, advocacy, social service delivery, regulatory affairs, and trade.  In the first year of the program, core classes build fundamental policy skills with broad applicability. A defining element of the second year is an intensive Global Policy Project, which provides opportunities for students to engage with policy makers and civil society and apply their creative thinking and strategic design skills. The program prepares students to lead teams in implementing cross-boundary solutions to pressing global concerns.
