DLF Promenade marks 68th Republic Day with “An Artistic Salute to the Nation”


27th January 2017: DLF Promenade collaborated with 8 leading schools from South Delhi and held a drawing competition for the students in honour of the 68th Republic Day. The entries are exhibited at the mall today and tomorrow (26th and 27th January) during mall operation hours. The prize distribution ceremony was held today at the mall, where the judges awarded prizes to the top five winning entries.

The esteemed judges were Ms. Mandira Lamba, celebrated art curator from Fab Connection & Blue Print12 and Mr. R.C. Dalal, the Director of the JD Institute of Fashion Technology.

Mandira Lamba celebrated art curator from Fab Connection & Blue Print 12 added “The drawings by the students are very creative and inspiring, it’s very heartening to see such young children express their feelings through art and showcasing true patriotic spirit making our nations 68th republic day.”
Mr R. C Dalal, the Director of the JD Institute of Fashion Technology also mentioned “It was a Artistic Salute to nation and this time JD Institute of Fashion Techonology, took young talent and their paintings to be a part of the installation. Colors hues and their expressions was overwhelming, surely this installation will be a way of imagination for many more who came by to watch.”
The submissions made by the students were creative and imaginative and showed the students’ enthusiasm for the National themes. The top five winning entries were:

1)      Banmeet S Arneja from Chinmaya Vidyalaya
2)      Priyanshu Bisht from Chinmaya Vidyalaya
3)      Varunavi Gupta from DPS Vasant Vihar
4)      Kulvinder Singh from South Delhi Public School
5)      Aryan Sandhu from South Delhi Public School

The entries submitted came from various South Delhi schools like GD Goenka, Tagore International School, Delhi Public School (Vasant Vihar), Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Ryan International School, South Delhi Public School (Defence Colony), Delhi Public School (East of Kailash) and Hope Hall Foundation School.

The exhibition was designed by the students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology.
