Recognition reflects company’s strong presence in key African markets which contributes nearly 20 per cent of total international business

Dubai, UAE, 22 January, 2017 - Dabur International, one of the most trusted and recognized personal and healthcare companies in the world, has been conferred with Assocham Award in the ‘Outstanding Contribution in Africa’s Healthcare Sector - Products’ category. The coveted honour is a reflection of the company’s strong presence in Africa’s key markets, including Egypt, Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya that nearly contribute 20 per cent of the total international business. The recognition will boost Dabur International’s plans to further strengthen its presence in the region, where it is focusing to establish its own brands alongside building the specialized hair care offerings under its Namaste portfolio’s ORS brand.

One of the largest overseas market for Dabur, Egypt contributes nearly 13 per cent of its international business sales. Dabur Egypt Ltd. manufactures and markets a wide range of products in hair, skin and oral care categories while maintaining a leading position in hair creams, hair oils, and Hammam Zaith creams. Business operations at Sub-Saharan Africa, on the other hand, have been consolidated into three hubs anchored at Lagos, Nairobi and Johannesburg to drive business synergies across the economic zones. Lastly, Dabur International produces and sells oral, hair and home care products in Nigeria and its plant in Lagos will manufacture ORS range of hair care products.
