Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking a new career high for the already incredibly successful artist. The song’s beginning at the top of the Hot 100 is a rare feat when it comes to the charts, and only a small fraction of the tracks that have made it all the way to the peak have started their run there.
