Brings a filmy-twist to ‘The Hamara Station, Hamari Shaan’ initiative

Mumbai, 7th October,2016: ‘The Hamara Station, Hamari Shaan’ a collaborative endeavor between Mumbai First, Making a Difference Foundation and Western & Central Railway is in full swing from 2nd October to 8th October. The beautification of 36 suburban stations being the primary aim, Red FM is proud to lend its support to this socially-conscious initiative. As the official radio partner, Red FM will partake in this venture by bringing its own creative twist. Innovative one-liners that truly speak volumes will grace the selected stations and appeal the people passing by delivering the message in a subtle but quirky manner.

Mumbai being renowned for its cutting fast-pace and love for the desi drama, the brand aims to use quirky yet hard-hitting messages that are equally memorable and provoking like “Platforms pe safai honi chahiye, kachra toh lagaan mein bhi hai. Stations ajaate raho, gandagi ki bajaate raho! Passengers to train ke andar hone chahiye, Hanging to garden bhi hai!” Red FM’s popular radio jockeys like Malishka and Rishi Kapoor will amplify these socially toned messages on and off air too. Announcements bearing their distinguished well-known voices to be played at the stations.

On this association, Nisha Narayanan, COO RED FM said, “We are honored to be associated with such a credible cause given local stations play a significant role in the life of Mumbaikars. Mumbai is a cosmopolitan that houses diverse ethnicities and the voice of Red FM cuts across to them every day. We want to give back to this thriving community in our own ‘Bajaate Raho’ way. We hope the initiative raises awareness and inspires social change among people.”

Adding on to the momentum, Red FM has introduced a character called ‘Thuukemon’ as part of an activity that will be rolled out at the stations, wherein Red FM vigilantes will keep an eye out for spitting offenders, who will then adorn the robe of the Thukster. The activity aims to promote a clean surrounding in a rather eccentric way.
