: Normally people look at the police in a different way but the Telangana state police would like to change the perspective of people by executing the people friendly policing and taking this initiate at the all India level and district and sub divisional level for further for more transparency said the Governor Sri ESL Narasimhan before he flag off the 1st Indian Police Martyrs Memorial Run at the people plaza on Sunday at 6 am. The Governor attended as chief guest to the event.

The Telangana State police organised the first Indian Police Martyrs Memorial Run to remember the sacrifices made by the men and women of the police forces in the country.  The Run categorises as 10K, 5K and 2K. Around 6000 citizens took part in the Run. Speaking on occasion, the Governor appreciated the Telangana state police for initiated a very good step going closer to the people by implementing the people friendly policing. . 

Mrs. Arunga Bahuguna, the Director of SVP National Police Academy who attended as guest said that  such type of events  not only in Hyderabad but to promote all over the country to remember the solidarity of policemen   

Sri Anurag Sharma, the Director General of Police said that 1st time in India, the Telangana State Police has organised the Indian Police Martyrs Memorial Run inculcating the first Indian Police Expo in association with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.  The Indian Police Expo is an integral part of the plan to engage citizens and build community engagement and positive public interface. The Central Armed Police Forces and Central Police Organizations exhibited their work and weaponry.  The Expo was inaugurated by Home Minister a day ago but due to  overwhelming response from the public, the Indian Police Expo has been extended till Monday said the DGP. 
Almost all the IPS offices working in twin cities and from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh attended the Memorial Run.
