Nayan looks forward to finale after luck deserts him in Coimbatore


Nayan Chatterjee endured a trying weekend in Round 3 of the JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship in Coimbatore that saw him finish 3 of the 4 races in fourth place and a retirement in Round 4. Despite the setback, Nayan continues to remain in the top 3 overall in the Euro JK16 series, and will look to improve his position in the final round of the championship at Noida between 18th and 20thNovember.'

Heading into the round as championship leader, the Mumbai lad was struck with poor luck particularly in Race 3 when his rear-wing got knocked off after being rear-ended under safety car conditions. In Race 4, he had to retire his car due to the engine dying.

Despite a disappointing weekend, Nayan has had a good season, which includes wins in Rounds 1 and 2 of the Euro JK16 series, and second position overall at the KRS KKS Asia Max Challenge, thus also establishing himself as one of the best kart racers in Asia.

After being backed by both Cello and Venus, Nayan is also going to take part in at least one round of the newly-launched F4 South East Asia Championship.
