At the “Crafts Bazaar” enthusiasts will get a chance to familiarize themselves with the handloom tradition of India and embroideries like lambani- a unique mirror and embroidery craft, aari- an intricate and fine chain stitch to create any kind of complex or simple pattern. Do try your hands at block printing on a fabric using traditional wood blocks.

One can get enrolled for an hour-long cheriyal mask painting session with the artisans from Telangana. These beautiful masks are made using coconut shells depicting characters from traditional folklore. There will be three batches, so reach the venue on time before registration gets closed.

This bazaar will also have a workshop on the art of festive table-setting for a dinner party. Women can learn the secret of draping a sari in various traditional styles and take part in organic food tasting contest where people need to guess the secret sauce to win a hamper from Fabindia.

There will be a fashion show for attendees where they get to select from Fabindia’s range of clothes and accessories. With the help of makeup artists and hairstylists, they will complete the look before walking down the ramp. Do not forget to tag yourself on Facebook and Instagram page of Fabindia while walking down the ramp.

Fabindia is famously known as a catalyst for the revival and contemporising Indian handloom, and the “Crafts Bazaar” showcases supremely talented partners of Fabindia in action.  Witness the behind-the-scenes experience of the skill and precision that goes into making beautiful products that are part of the Fabindia tradition.
