Relish flavours sprinkled with Mama’s love
India 19 September 2016: There is a special flavour in Mama’s cooking. A flavour called happiness, and in her kitchen at ‘The Woking Mama’, every bite is lovingly crafted by her to give you pure, unadulterated joy.
The Woking Mama at KORUM Mall, Thane was all decked up to celebrate her first anniversary, filled with delicious food, soulful music and a whole lot of Mama’s love. The festivities consisted of 3 day long celebrations, starting from 16th to 18th of September. The lucky first 50 guests, who visited the restaurant on Friday 16th September, were charged only Re. 1 for a pint of beer from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, after which each pint of beer costed them just Rs. 99! On day two the bartenders served refreshing chilled cocktails only for Rs. 99. Furthermore, there was live Retro music to envelope the entire restaurant and the guests. Bar favourites like ‘Watermelon and Kaffir Lime Mojito’ and ‘Dragon’s Breath’ flowed freely as the music played on! On the 18th of September, wine lovers savored on unlimited Sangria created with the finest red and white wine, for just Rs. 499.
A brand new pan Asian menu was earnestly curated by Mama to ring in the festivities. Food lovers enjoyed a live Japanese Teppanyaki counter, with an array of ingredients and intertwine those with noodles or rice along with Mama’s secret Teriyaki and Hunan sauce. Grandma’s recipes like Spicy Soya and Basil Dim Sums and Banana leaf wrapped chicken were the new fixtures on the menu, while Mama whipped up innovative desserts like Coconut Jelly with mango cream sauce among others. Visitors experienced three days of nonstop fun, music & food and discovered traditional Oriental flavours from old Far Eastern recipe books, amalgamated with a contemporary touch and Mama’s love.
