India 29 September 2016: Mostly Grills at The Orchid beacons you partake in the 18th century customary German Festival Oktoberfest, where the time honored traditions of the Bavarian town will be in full display amidst beers, sausages, music and dance in an ensemble.
The festivities of Oktoberfest go back to the marriage of King Ludwig with Princess Therese in the 18th century. The citizens were invited to celebrate the royal wedding. In the year 1881, booths started selling bratwurst and in 1892 the first beer was served in glass mugs. There has been no stopping since then. Millions of liters of beer will be served during this international mega event.
The roof top barbecue restaurant will be serving the best of international beers for the fest.
Tuborg to Carlsberg from Denmark to the well known Belgium beers such as Stella and Hoegaarden the beer lovers will be spoilt for choice. The famous Dutch brands Amstel light and Heineken are also the part of the menu. The German beer Warsteiner also finds a pride place as does the Bira blonde which is available on tap.
The fun extends to food as well where an elaborate menu consisting of sausages and steaks will be served. Executive Chef, Navid Sayyad has prepared an exquisite range of dishes to go along with the variety of beers available. Enjoy scrumptious German delicacies like Weiner Snitzel (lamb steak panfried) and all time favorite Chicken Cordenbleu with Sauerkraut (Chicken breast stuffed with sausage and cheese).
Some other items on the menu are Grilled sausages, Curry wurst with French Fries (German sausage cut into strips tossed with curry powder). The vegetarians can polish off specialties like the German potato delight (Traditional German Potato salad), Oktoberfest special (Tomato Salad with fresh mozzarella) and Eggplant Snitzel with Mashed potato served with cheese sauce.
The desserts are Chocolate stout cake and chocolate frosting and Lemon sponge cake. With the live band playing peppy numbers, it promises to be a memorable evening.
