New Delhi, 22nd September, 2016: Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA), the apex body representing the stainless steel industry announced the appointment of Mr. K K Pahuja as its new President.
The decision was taken at a meeting of its Managing Committee held at Gurgaon on 19th September 2016. Mr Pahuja takes over from the outgoing President Mr. N C Mathur.
Mr. K K Pahuja is a former Executive Director of Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) where he has been a part of key strategic groups to drive growth plans, product development and operating efficiencies. With over 40 years of experience in the Steel Industry, Mr. Pahuja has worked in areas of Operations, Supply chain, Coal management and policy formulation. He has been associated with both the industry as well as the Government including Bhilai Steel Plant, SAIL Corporate office and Ministry of Steel.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. K K Pahuja said, "I am honored to have been asked to take this role, and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Mr. Mathur has played an important role in the progress of the Association and the stainless steel industry in India. I look forward to work with all the members on this exciting journey ahead for further growth of the stainless steel industry.”
Mr. K K Pahuja is a mechanical engineer from BITS Pilani and an MBA from FMS, Delhi University.
