Few Miles for a million dreams
Bangalore, August 7th, 2016 – Vibha, a volunteering organisation that works for underprivileged children organized Dream Mile 2016, a marathon run in association with Inorbit Mall Whitefield, Marriott Whitefield, Fairfield and Courtyard Marriott Outer Ring Road, Titan, Woohoo, F45 etc. Vibha and Inorbit Mall jointly held Inorbit Dream Mile on Sunday, August 7th 2016 making the budding dreams of underprivileged children smile by running a few miles.
The Dream Mile was the flagship event in Vibha's continued efforts to increase awareness about the plight of underprivileged children. It has come a long way since its inception in 1998. It has grown from being a small event attended primarily by volunteers and friends to a permanent fixture on the calendars of runners in the various cities in America and India. The increasing participation and enthusiasm for this event just goes to show how strongly people are involved in the development of underprivileged children.
The event commenced at 5.30 am and had more than 1800 participants who ran to inspire underprivileged children chase their dream. Children and women working in and around Whitefield took part in the run with extreme enthusiasm. The oldest participant for this year’s event was 84 years of age.

1. The Half Marathon (21k)
2. 10k Run
3. 5k Run
4. 2k Fun Walk/Run
5. Corporate Relay
6. Family Run
