Mumbai, August 22, 2016: IFIM’s Centre for Distance Learning introduces its PGDM in Business Analytics, as part of its Professional Series, which is a combination of PGDM and a professional certification. This UGC-DEB and AICTE approved course helps in developing domain certified skills and knowledge which will enable continuous employability of learners. This e-learning program has been collaboratively designed with leading certification partners and seasoned analytics experts. The distinctive attributes of this Professional Series can be outlined as:

Business Analytics is the practice of using data to drive business strategy and performance. Application of Information Technology such as cloud and IoT has resulted into the exponential growth of disposable data from multiple sources. It is anticipated that by 2020, corporations will deliver 60% of actionable information to decision makers or management using business analytics, which will help them in taking critical decisions. Therefore, these corporations will need people with knowledge of the right tools to analyse data with broader management perspective for comprehensive and insightful business decisions.
IFIM has identified that professionals trained in business analytics without the knowledge of management concepts will face the bottlenecking in application of analytics and will face the road block in their career. This curriculum offers six subjects in each semester out of which four subjects teach function oriented management concepts and two are domain oriented training tools. The course blends directly with the skills that are required in the industry such as Data Visualisation, Business Statistics, SAS/R Programming and Statistical Modelling. Thus, it creates continuously employable professionals, which makes a learner job ready at the end of every semester.
