~Over 25 differently abled people to participate in the event~
New Delhi August 05, 2016: DLF Place, Saket in cooperation with Udaan (a Delhi based NGO helping differently abled citizens all over India), South District Legal services Authority (SDLA) and Fit By Nature will be organizing a special fitness event for differently-abled people on Sunday, July 7, 2016. The event will start at 9:00 AM in the morning where the participants (members of Udaan) can get registered on the spot. The main focus of the event would be to support equality for people with special needs and to make them aware about their rights and privileges. The event will comprise of activities like dance, customized workout and physiotherapy session, keeping in mind specific needs of each participant.
Starting with the registration of the participants, the event will be followed by distribution of bibs and t-shirts. Over 25 differently abled people will take part in this event, where they will be accompanied by some volunteers from Udaan, to help them in case of any emergency. Keeping their safety and health a major criteria for concern, an ambulance along with a doctor will be present on the site, to take care of any unforeseen incident. A physiotherapist will also be there at the event to create a specialized workout regime for every participant. In addition to this, Fit By Nature will also be conducting activities like stretching, dancing and balloon games with the participants to increase the fun quotient.
Adding interactive touch to this fitness event, two representatives from the South District Legal services Authority (SDLA) will be present there to address the participants and brief them about their legal rights and services that SDLSA offers. This will be followed by a warm up and dance session. Further, there would be a cool down or stretching session which will be monitored by a physiotherapist. A special award ceremony will also take place at the end of the event along with distribution of goodie bags and refreshments for the participants. The event will be followed by an interview session with the management.
Speaking about the event, Ms Benu Sehgal, Senior Vice President, DLF Place, Saket said, “Special people need special attention. Talking further about the activities conducted during the event, she said “Since, fitness is the core of this event, we along with our fitness partner ‘Fit By Nature’ arranged some fun activities for the participants which included workout and dance session. Besides, to make the event more interactive, officials from South District Legal services Authority (SDLA) will be present to address the participants and make them aware about their rights and privileges.”
To keep up the energy quotient, the participants were provided refreshing beverages from Fiasco and lip smacking food from Doner Grill.
