Hyderabad, August 13, 2016 The much talked about Slum Premier T:20 Cricket Leagues comes to an end. In a final held between Chanchalguda Sultans and Uppal Rockets today, Chanchalguda Sultans crushed Uppal Rockets by a margin of 67 runs and emerged as Champions.

Chanchalguda Sultans emerged Champions of Slum Premier League
The match was held today morning at Daniels Cricket Academy at Uppal. In a 18 over match Chanchalguda Sultans made 172 for the loss of ten wickets. Kashif made 59 run, Nijamuddin 46. Sultan and Aslam took three wickets each by giving 19 and 23 runs.
In reply, Uppal Rockets collapsed and could only make 95 runs. Kadhar Made 32 runs and Masoon took 3 wickets by giving 21 runs.
Nazeer of Vidhynagar Gold emerged as the Man of the Series. The other players who were recognised for their performance include Man of the match--Kashif (Chanchalguda sultans); Best fielder of the tournament--Fayaz (Uppal Rockets); Best wicket keeper of the tournament--Ijaz Ali khan ( Chanchalguda Sultans); Best batsmen of the tournament:--Mohan (Gadikota Racers) and Best Bowler of the tournament--Srinu (Maheshwaram Kings)
The 16 teams competed in the league include Puranapul Nawabs, Kanchanbagh Warriors, Charminar Titans,Chanchalguda Sultans, Vidyanagar Gold, Uppal Rockets, Kishanbagh Sardars, Gadi Kotta Racers, Banjaragadd Diamonds, Habshiguda Wizards, Boduppal Jaguars, Manikeshwar Nagar Lions, Amberpet Panthers, Nacharam Angels,Maheshwaram Kings and Veerappa Gadd Thunder. in the tournament. It was the first of its kind of a tournament conceived Daniles Cricket Academy.
The Slum Premier League as become a platfrom for many slum dwellers to showcase their talent and to get recognition. All the talented players got lot of recognition from the speactors, who also promised to held them continue playing the sport said Daniels of the academy.
The leagues was held for six days. And it will a yearly affair, declared Daniels.
