Bangalore, April 12th, 2016: In a first-of-its-kind, Dr. Dinesh Gowda, Dermatosurgen, Hairline International Hair & Skin Clinic, is now the first in the state to successfully complete the transplant of 17,000 hair in a single sitting at the RT Nagar outlet of Hairline International.
This attempt was webcast today through a live webinar and had thousands from the medical fraternity and the public watching keenly. All through the procedure Dr. Dinesh fielded questions related to the procedure from a medical perspective, as well as from the viewpoint of a patient. The procedure lasted over 12 hours.
In their constant endeavor to provide the best to their clients, Hairline implements several international techniques and procedures in their offerings. This transplant procedure utilized hair from the body and scalp to regions on the head that need it. A significant achievement in the course of this procedure was the transplant of 17,000 hair in a single sitting. With the average usually being around 6000 hair, this is a huge success for the organization.
The viewing gallery at the RT Nagar OT of Hairline was also packed with students and members of the medical and media fraternity keen on witnessing the procedure. Speaking on being present at the transplant, one of the attendees said, “It is not every day that we get to see a procedure of this nature conducted live, and be able to interact with the surgeon. Being in the same field, it provides us with great insights and thoughts on how to be proactive about innovation in the field”.
“A growing number of youngsters in the age group of 25 to 35 years are seeking out medical intervention to help them cope with hair loss and thinning hair. Procedures such as these are well suited to youngsters who have the patience to sit through them and for whom quick results are essential. This live demonstration is a good way to break certain misconceptions and fears that usually surround the procedure,” said Dr Dinesh Gowda.
